I am starting my garden, have two different Rosemary plants & a Basil. Does anyone know anything about planting Basil? Because someone told me to use a pot vs planting in the ground…

it doesn’t matter at all where you decide to plant. there’s just advantages and disadvantages. in ground means it’s not mobile, but it can also have access to nutrients that’s  already in the soil. in a container, it will eventually run out of nutrients, so you’ll have to add more as you go. 

containers can get root bound, making transpotting an extra chore. but it does offer more safety towards bugs. 

rosemary and basil requires different amounts of water. your rosemary should get water once, and rarely, twice a week. your basil, probably 2-2.5 times.

Basil flowers are always blooming! So pretty

Assorted basil flowers in full bloom, now to pollinate and collect seeds… ha!

Can’t wait to push bloom boosters when the berries come in. Basil is bushing up with very short internodes.

Basil assortment coming along well! Slight nute burn and white fly infestation but it should fix itself soon.
